The following video presents Nikon D5 – Five inspired professional photographers with the D5:
“INSPIRED, a film by Nikon Ambassador Corey Rich, explores what drives today’s most diverse and interesting professional photographers and filmmakers in their relentless pursuit to capture perfect images and truly meaningful stories…..
Designed to transcend boundaries, the Nikon D5 is a powerhouse that lets you capture images no other camera can and express your creativity in exactly the way you imagined. Designed with a new generation autofocus (AF) system with 153 focus points and 99 cross-type sensors, shoot in any situation with a new level of precision. No matter how fast the action, capture it all with the D5 that shoots up to 12 frames per second (fps) with AE/ AF tracking or at up to 14 fps with mirror up.“
Recently, Nikon announced that the following Digital SLR cameras received the Good Design Award:
The D5 is Nikon’s flagship D-SLR. It is equipped with a next-generation 153-point AF system and supports high-speed continuous shooting at approximately 12 fps (with AF/AE) for more certain capture of the intended subject under a variety of conditions. In addition, the new Nikon FX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 5 image-processing engine have enabled the highest standard sensitivity in Nikon history—ISO 102400—for superior high-sensitivity performance with still images, of course, but also with recording of movies in the new 4K UHD (3840×2160) format.
Good Design Award
The D500 is Nikon’s flagship DX-format digital SLR camera equipped with the same 153-point AF system as the D5, and offering certain capture of the intended subject with support for high-speed continuous shooting at approx. 10 fps. Adoption of the new EXPEED 5 image-processing engine and a new Nikon DX-format CMOS sensor enables superior image and picture quality for photos and movies throughout the broad ISO 100–51200 range of standard sensitivities. The D500 also responds to the needs of professionals with support for 4K UHD (3840×2160) movie recording.
