Nikon Z fc Firmware Update Ver.1.60 Fixes Release Mode Issue

Nikon has released Firmware Update Ver.1.60 for the Nikon Z fc APS-C mirrorless camera. It fixes the Release Mode issue when assigned to the Fn button in AUTO mode. Probably responding to owners’requests, the REC Red Frame indicator can now be specified in the CUSTOM SETTINGS MENU in position g7. As an extra bonus, you now also have more background color options for the Information Display in the SETUP MENU.

Changes from “C” Firmware Version 1.50 to 1.60:

• More background color options are now available for the [Information display] item in the [SETUP MENU].
• Added a [Welcome screen] item in [SETUP MENU]. A welcome screen will be displayed when the camera is turned on.
• Added [Red REC frame indicator] to the [CUSTOM SETTINGS MENU] in position g7.
• Fixed an issue that [Release mode] could not be properly adjusted using the Fn button in AUTO mode when [Release mode] was assigned to the Fn button.
