Fujifim recently won the 69th Engineering Emmy Award for engineering developments so significant an improvement on existing methods or so innovative in nature that they materially affect the transmission, recording or reception of television.”

….Fujifilm (Fujinon) …. developed 4K field production zoom lenses for large sensor or super 35mm cameras providing imagery in television that could only be accomplished previously by prime lenses. These lenses produce 4K images with high contrast, high spatial frequency response with low flare for video production with the maximum possible focal range. In Ultra High Definition Television production large format, 4K zoom lenses have become indispensable.

Fujifilm has won the 69th Engineering Emmy® Award for the development of FUJINON 4K Cine Zoom Lenses

FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) is delighted to announce that the FUJINON 4K Cine Zoom Lenses providing imagery in television have been awarded a 69th Engineering Emmy® Award by the Television Academy*.

The Emmy Award was established by the Television Academy in 1948, and Technical or Engineering Emmys have been presented since that time to an individual, company or organization for engineering developments that considerably improve existing methods or innovations that materially affect the transmission, recording or reception of television. It is the most prestigious award in the broadcasting industry.
Fujifilm’s contribution was highly valued for the high image quality and the evolution of image expression through the development of FUJINON 4K Cine Lenses providing imagery in television. The Lenses with high optical technology and overwhelming depiction power have been used in movies and television programs as well as commercial production around the world.
This will mark the 6th Emmy award granted to Fujifilm. The past awards include: “Development of the new high speed color negative film A250 Color Negative Film” in 1982, “Developments in Metal Tape Technology” in 1990, “Implementation in Lens Technology to Achieve Compatibility with CCD sensors” in 1996, “Lens technology developments for solid state imagers cameras in high definition formats” in 2005 and the world’s first autofocus system “Precision Focus” in 2009.
