photoxelsOM SYSTEM is poised to reveal its new micro four thirds mirrorless PEN camera on Wednesday, September 9 at 6:30 pm. It should feature an electronic viewfinder and, judging from the color shots posted in the video, art filters / creative recipes may also be front and center. The last PEN, the E-P7, was released in June 2021 and the PEN-F in January 2016. A major upgrade to the latter is what most of us are really looking forward to, but the marketing hype coming out of OM SYSTEM so far is just not big enough to warrant that hope. Will it be a new PEN-F or just another minor update of one of the PEN-P? Stay tuned.
