TIPA World Awards 2025

The editors of TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) have voted and announced their 2025 winners (cameras introduced in 2024 – 2025 time frame). With full-frame becoming the de facto standard once again, we now have a real competition between full-frame mirrorless cameras. For example, the Sony A1 II edged out the Canon EOS R1 in the full-frame professional camera category..

However, sometimes these awards may not mean much by themselves since only the products introduced during the time frame under evaluation are considered and compared against one another. So, if you are the only camera in your category introduced during that time frame, then you have zero competition and almost guaranteed an award.
