In spite of what this National Geographic video says, 7 Billion is really not a huge number when set in the landscape of the vast Universe. IF we are the only intelligent life in the universe, then we are in danger of being snuffed out of existence by any number of natural and spatial disasters. All 7B of us standing shoulder to shoulder fit in the city of Los Angeles — insignificant on a cosmic scale. Can we get it into our heads that there are more important things in life than money and power and glory and gadgets?
