FUJIFILM ANNOUNCES SEVEN NEW FINEPIX CAMERAS INCLUDING THE WORLD’S FASTEST AUTOFOCUS SPEED AND POWERFUL LONG ZOOM CAMERAS
The 2013 FinePix line-up offers the perfect choice for every consumer
Mississauga ON, January 7, 2013 – The new 2013 Fujifilm FinePix cameras include faster, more powerful superzoom bridge models, a new compact long zoom and a more rugged version of Fujifilm Canada’s most popular waterproof/shockproof compact camera.
“The new line-up of FinePix cameras addresses the needs of a wide variety of consumers,” says Greg Poole, Vice President, Imaging and Recording Media Products, Fujifilm Canada. “Whether it’s our flagship HS50EXR, the 50x superzoom SL1000, our best-selling waterproof compact or our entry-level point-and-shoot, Fujifilm offers the ideal choice for any level of photographer.”
The new flagship FinePix HS50EXR features a high precision manual zoom lens, with 42x focal length range (24-1000mm*1), and a new ½” EXR CMOS II sensor with phase detection that achieves the world’s fastest autofocus speed in its class of 0.05 seconds*2.
The HS50EXR features high speed, continuous shooting at 11fps at the full 16MP resolution (up to 5 frames*3) and seamless 5.5fps shooting at 8MP resolution, as well as a new Focus Peaking feature in manual mode. The camera boasts a 920k dot, highly detailed electronic viewfinder (EVF) and a 3.0” variable-angle 920k dot LCD screen that folds out and flips around for easy viewing and shooting.
For videographers, the HS50EXR offers Full HD Movie 1080p/60fps with continuous phase detection AF and stereo sound.
The HS35EXR features a 16MP ½-inch EXR CMOS Sensor and 30X manual zoom to offer tremendous versatility at a great value.
The FinePix SL1000 bridge camera features a 16MP 1/2.3-inch BSI-CMOS sensor with the ability to shoot at sensitivities as high as ISO 12800*4. It achieves autofocus speeds as fast as 0.2 seconds*5, startup time of 0.9 seconds*3, and continuous shooting mode of 10fps at full resolution (max 9 frames*5). The newly-developed 50x optical FUJINON zoom lens (24-1200mm*4) with a fast aperture of F2.9-5.6 offers a powerful new Optical Image Stabilization that reduces the effect of blurring at longer zoom lengths. With Intelligent Digital Zoom, the focal length is effectively doubled to 2400mm or 100x.
The SL1000 also features 1080i full HD movie capture at 60 fps with stereo sound and advanced movie-editing features including “movie trimming” to cut unwanted footage, and “movie join” to join multiple separate clips. The 920k-dot electronic viewfinder (EVF) is perfect for framing shots in bright sunshine and the eye sensor switches automatically between the EVF and the 3.0” tilting LCD (920k-dot) screen.
The new S8200 boasts a fast aperture of F2.9 to F6.5, an Optical Image Stabilization system for blur reduction and a FUJINON 40x optical long zoom lens. The 16MP 1/2.3-inch BSI-CMOS sensor captures high quality, low noise shots at sensitivities as high as ISO 12800.
With autofocus speeds of 0.3 seconds*3, start-up times of 1.0 seconds*3, a 0.5 seconds*3 interval between shots and a continuous shooting speed of 10fps (max 10 frames at full resolution*3), this camera is perfect for capturing fast-action shots. High-speed shooting of up to 60fps or 120fps lets users capture the action in slow-motion for advanced photography.
The FinePix S8200 also features 1080i movie capture at 60fps with stereo sound and slow-motion capture at 480fps*3, and advanced in-camera filters for artistic shooting effects.
The rugged new XP60 uses an improved 16MP CMOS with CMOS Shift Image Stabilization to capture images that are sharp and clear even in challenging low-light conditions. It also incorporates an internal 5x optical FUJINON zoom lens (28-140mm*2) that allows users to get close to the action, even underwater. With Intelligent Digital Zoom, the XP60 can double its zoom range to 10x while still offering optimum image quality.
The XP60 is Waterproof to 6m (20ft), Shockproof to 1.5m (5ft), Freezeproof to -10°C (14°F) and Dustproof and has a redesigned battery door lock with double seals for enhanced protection. It features two high speed shooting modes — 10fps*3 continuous shooting mode at full resolution and an ultra-high speed continuous shooting at up to 60fps*3. Action-packed HD videos deliver full HD 1080i as well as high speed movie recording at up to 240fps.
The slim, stylish T500 camera has a FUJINON 12x long zoom lens (24-288mm*2) while being thin enough to fit in your jeans. It combines advanced features and ease of use, offering Optical Image Stabilization to help reduce camera shake and blurry images and an Advanced Filter function for added creative expression. The 16MP CCD sensor ensures that the highest image quality is captured every time and can be easily viewed on its bright 2.7” LCD screen.
Economically priced and packed with features, the stylish FinePix AX600 camera makes the ideal choice for first-time users and travelers. With its 14MP, 1/2.3-inch CCD and FUJINON 5x optical zoom, this tiny performer takes impressive photos with a variety of Auto Scene Recognition modes and anti-blur and face detection that will help every photographer take good pictures.
