Canon Simplifies Live Streaming With Free Live Switcher Mobile (LSM) App

Canon has launched a new app that allows three iPhones and/or iPads (sorry, Android) to be wirelessly connected. The host device (the one running the app) acts as the primary camera, but you can easily switch scenes (either manually or automatically at set intervals) to the two other devices, thus providing two alternate angles. Show one scene or all three scenes together, or include a live screen capture of a video game. Other features include graphics and PIP.

LSM currently supports live streaming with live comment display function to YouTube and Facebook. It can also stream to other platforms that support RTMP, but without the live comment display function.

Canon promises that LSM will support Canon’s digital camera connection in the future.
