Rebel Photography: Master the Essentials seminar kicks off new educational series from Canadian imaging leader

MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 7, 2011 – Canon Canada Inc., a leader in digital imaging, has announced a new seminar series that will educate Canadians on photography, video and capturing memories and action using Canon products. Entitled The Canon Live Series, the goal of these seminars is to provide Canon owners with a chance to go in-depth into their products in a fun, informative environment.

The Canon Live Series will present Canadian beginners and enthusiasts with an opportunity to take their Canon experience to the next level,” says Ian Macfarlane, Senior Vice-President of Sales and Service Operations, Canon Canada, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon USA. “Each seminar will be led by Canon experts with a deep, immersive understanding of Canon imaging products and advanced techniques for maximizing the performance of these products. It’s an opportunity for Canadians to share in that knowledge and we are extremely excited for the chance to connect with Canon imaging fans across Canada.”

Rebel Photography: Master the Essentials will be the first seminar in the series. This five hour, hands-on class will focus on Canon’s popular Rebel line of DSLR cameras, with a focus on getting users comfortable with DSLR photography. The goal is to educate Rebel owners who know the value and versatility of their Rebel but would love to be able to do more with it. Attendees will be guided through the features and capability of their camera so they have not only a new level of understanding about the technology but most importantly, how to apply these techniques to capture high quality digital photos.

Rebel Photography: Master the Essentials will be led by Canon trainers Jim Vail, Jean-François Drolet and Scott Kenney, experienced Canon trainers who will bring years of industry experience to The Canon Live Series.

The Rebel Photography: Master the Essentials will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Toronto Congress Centre, near Lester B. Pearson International Airport. Visit www.canon.ca/learning for additional details on The Canon Live Series.
