QUICKFACT SHEET

The Nikon Z 7II is Nikon’s full-frame mirrorless camera targeted to enthusiast landscape photographers. It improves on the Z 7 with dual card slots, dual processors, 4K/60P video, a more powerful battery, and the availability of an optional vertical battery grip.

The Nikon Z 7II should have been Nikon first full-frame mirrorless camera, but Nikon couldn’t wait and introduced the Z 7 (and Z 6) back in January 2020. Nine months (and thousands of customer feedback complaints/suggestions later), the Z 7II now looks like a polished and solid full-frame mirrorless camera. It’s Eye AF is still missing the stickiness of its main competitor, and the awkwardness of its AF area mode selection need to be addressed in a future upgrade (or firmware update, if possible). Otherwise, there’s not much to fault with the camera.
