FFujifilm’s first touch screen digital camera features EXR Sensor technology that automatically adjusts to all lighting and scene conditions. The Fujifilm FinePix Z700EXR features 12MP resolution (1/2.0-in. Super CCD EXR); a 5x optical zoom (36-180mm equiv.); built-in Sensor-shift image stabilization; and a 8.9-cm (3.5-in.) LCD display screen (460k-dot) in a sleek JeansCertified™ body.

The 3.5 inch touch screen allows you to view and take photos at the tap of a finger. Tell the camera where to focus with a simple tap of your finger on the screen. A new Dual Direction GUI detects the orientation of the camera and automatically switches the direction of the menu buttons accordingly (for shooting, playback, multi-viewing and image search). Dual Image Display splits the screen in various ways to view multiple images at once so you can scroll through your images quickly and easily to locate the one you are looking for.

The Fujifilm Z700EXR uses the award-winning Super CCD EXR image sensor that is 3 sensors in one: HR (High Resolution) ensures your picture is recorded with maximum detail; DR (Wide Dynamic Range) balances between highlight and shadows to retain detail in both when the light is strong and contrasted; SN (High Sensitivity and Low Noise) captures clean noise-free pictures even in the darkest conditions. Set the Z700EXR to EXR Auto mode and it detects the scene conditions (Landscape, Portrait, Macro, Night, Night Portrait, and Backlit Portrait) and lighting (HR, DR or SN), and automatically optimizes the focus, exposure and white balance for optimal results.

[SN (High Sensitivity and Low Noise) mode caps two adjacent pixels together to produce 6 million large photodiodes, which are big enough to absorb light in the darkest of conditions, to produce low-light shots of extraordinary quality with minimal noise and grain.]

The Z700EXR also sports the ‘Pro Low Light’ mode which provides extremely low noise even when zooming in low light scenes by combining a burst of 4 high sensitivity images using SN mode in quick succession. Using sophisticated Multi Frame Technology, all four images are merged to create one image.

You can shoot High-Definition (HD) movie 1280×720 pixels (720p) at 24fps with monaural sound. Enjoy your pictures in High Definition on any HD ready television (an optional extra HD Card Reader and HDMI cable required) or PC.

Fujifilm has introduced a new Facebook/YouTube Easy Upload feature whereby you can simply mark your favourite images and videos for Facebook or YouTube upload so they are all ready to go when you connect to your computer. No more time is wasted sorting through pictures on the computer – just connect to MyFinePix Studio (supplied with the camera), and all marked images and videos will upload directly to the respective site at the press of a button.

Other features include: Face Detection with Automatic Red-eye Removal, Face Recognition, Pet Detection, and Intelligent Scene Recognition. Super Intelligent Flash efficiently manages the flash power to produce balanced flash illumination across the foreground and background, even in macro mode, to avoid washout shots.
