Which Is Mightier: the Pencil or the Camera? The Artwork of Ben Heine.

Fri March 25, 2011

Our Featured Site is that of Ben Heine, whose art is anything but predictable. Ben Heine is a painter, illustrator, portraitist, caricaturist and photographer who was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast and currently lives and works in Brussels, Belgium. He studied graphic arts and sculpture and also has a degree in journalism. Many years of graphic exploration, artistic experience and a unique vision of the world have helped him develop his very singular style.

In the Pencil vs. Camera series, he injects a pencil drawing into a photograph for a fresh take on what could otherwise well be an ordinary scene.

There’s more of this wonderful art at: www.benheine.com or Ben Heine’s Flickr page.
