Astrophotographer Andrew McCarthy captured this stunning photo of skydiver Gabriel Brown’s dark silhouette against the Sun’s fiery chromosphere. The photo was shot through a telescope equipped with a special Sun filter and positioned about 1.5 miles away from the light aircraft circling at an altitude of 3,500 ft. It took one hour of circling and six tries to get the perfect shot.
