Courting Controversy: Michael Wolf on Google Street View Photography

Michael Wolf speaks of his Google Street View work from Olivier Laurent on Vimeo.

Michael Wolf received a honorable mention in this year’s World Press Photo contest on his use of Google Street View images as street photographs. It’s original, but is it photography? He speaks to the British Journal of Photography about why he moved to Paris (“You don’t stand between a woman and Paris”), how to started exploring Paris via Google Street View, and how he set up his camera and started to do Google Street View street photography (Ä Series of Unfortunate Events”). It is very interesting and well worth watching.
