Last month we reported that CameraQuest made a Leica M adaptor that allowed Leica lenses to be mounted on the Panasonic micro G DSLRs.
Well, Panasonic has just announced that it is also offering its own branded Leica M and R mount adaptors for the Lumix G Micro System.
Now owners of Panasonic G1 and GH1 will be able to attach Leica M lenses (DMW-MA2M) or R lenses (DMW-MA3R). These adaptors allow users to use the movable MF assist function, which enlarges the selected area when focusing manually.

DPReview has posted their review ("on par with the very best in the entry level DSLR") of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 [Specs], the first mirror-less Digital Interchangeable Lens system camera with 12.1MP resolution (on a 17.3 x 13.0 mm Live MOS Sensor), 3.0-in. high resolution (460,000 dots) Free-angle LCD with Live View, fast Contrast Detect AF, high resolution (480,000 dots for a 1,440,000 dots equivalent) EVF at 60fps refresh, eye sensor, Dust Reduction, Scene Modes and full exposure flexibility.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 is the first mirror-less Digital Interchangeable Lens camera that redefines how a system camera should work. It has got all the traditional DSLR manufacturers worried — and with good reason. By getting rid of the mirror and prism and replacing them with a high resolution electronic viewfinder and extra large 3.0-in. high resolution LCD, the G1 is smaller and lighter than any DSLR out there. Image quality and performance rival those of entry-level DSLRs. The G1 not only allows you to take a glimpse of the future of DSLRs but you can own one right now!
