The Canon PowerShot SX260 HS features 20x optical zoom (25-500mm equiv.), a 3.0-in. (461k-dot) LCD, Continuous Shooting of 10fps, AUTO, PASM, Scene Modes, built-in Flash, and Full HD Movie 1920 x 1080 @ 24fps with stereo sound.
The ultra wide-angle allows you to capture wide landscapes, while the long telephoto is great for sports and wildlife shooting. Optical Image Stabilization helps stabilizes the camera at the long focal lengths. A dedicated Movie Button allows you to start recording movies instantly. You can use the full range of optical zoom when you’re shooting a video and the electronic wind filter suppresses wind noise.
Smart AUTO and Scene Modes make the SX260 HS an easy point-and-shoot camera, while more advanced users can use PASM for full control. The PowerShot SX260 HS is equipped with Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to allow you to automatically record the locations and local times of your stills and videos. A special bundled Map Utility software displays the locations of each photo on a world map and even tracks your route from photo to photo. You can create and share custom maps and personal mini-travel guides with friends and family members.
