Mangelsen traveled to Hudson Bay in northern Manitoba, Canada, to photograph polar bears and their young emerging from their winter dens. Here’s what he caught: two months-old cubs, enjoying their new-found freedom, play and wrestle in the snow while mama bear keeps a close eye on them from the den (just behind and below where the bear cubs are playing).
