The Greenland Ice Project Timelapse

Greenland Time-Lapse Reel from Murray Fredericks on Vimeo.

Legend has it that when intrepid sea travelers first set foot on a small green island and later on its larger ice-covered neighbor, they decided to play a trick on settlers looking for new lands: they called the small green island, Iceland — and the larger ice-covered island, Greenland. Thus, while most settlers flocked to icy Greenland, they could reserve green Iceland to themselves and their families.

Well, I probably clobbered this whole story and mixed up all the facts, if there were any in the first place. So, to earn your forgiveness, I leave you with this beautiful timelapse video of Greenland by Murray Fredericks.
