What do breakfast cereal boxes have in common with Fibonacci? They follow the Golden Ratio (or Golden Mean) to attract our eyes! Other designs influenced by the Golden Mean are the Apple iPhone, the Kit Kat bar, the VISA logo, the Volkswagen Beetle, and the Greek Parthenon!
Next time, you see a proportion that seems especially pleasing to you, stop and measure it. Chances are it may well approximate the Golden Mean.
