Rumors, rumors, rumors. Will the new iPhone do Video, à-la Kodak ZX1, the pocket HD video camcorder that is getting rave reviews for top fun factor? Just imagine if it did. Other rumors say that it is the new iPod Touch that will get the 5M video capability to re-invigorate sagging sales. And then there is the iTablet rumor which is probably giving Sony Reader Digital Book and Amazon Kindle designers sleepless nights.

Microsoft bing Decision Engine

When you are searching for something, your friends and work colleagues will often say, “Just Google it!” Now that Microsoft is planning to replace its Live Search engine with [wait for it]… “bing” [yes, with a lower case "b"],  I just can’t for the life of me imagine “Just Bing it!” taking off.

“bing” is being promoted as not just a search engine. No, it is a “decision engine.” On a more serious note, the demo video does look very interesting. Instead of just returning the links, it also gives you right underneath sublinks to where you might really want to go, related links, etc. — though I have not seen anything different than what Google returns in its searches. The lofty goal of bing is to help you make a decision right there while you are searching for something.

I just don’t get the name, though. Is “Bing!” supposed to be the sound that echoes back when your search hits the right results in Internet space?

Olympus E-450

PhotographyBLOG has published their review of the Olympus E-450 DSLR [Specs], a "very compact" with 10MP resolution (on a 17.3 x 13.0 mm Live MOS sensor), a large 2.7-in. LCD (230K dots), Dust Reduction System, 3-point Phase Detection AF, Live View with Contrast-Detect AF, PASM, 18 Scene Modes, Shutter Speed range of 60 – 1/4000 sec. plus Bulb, Continuous 3.5fps, Wireless Flash Control, 3 Art Filters, RAW file format, Face Detection, Perfect Shot Preview, and Shadow Adjustment Technology.
