Sony SLT-A55

Sony SLT-A55

Image quality is poor, because the A55 lacks some very important image adjustments.

We’ve added a new Sony Alpha SLT-A55 [QuickPrice Check] Review to our Reviews Matrix.

KenRockwell has just published their review of the Sony SLT-A55, a Digital Interchangeable Lens (DIL) camera with a 16.2MP APS HD CMOS sensor, electronic viewfinder (1.15M-dot), articulated 3.0-in. LCD (912k-dot), Continuous Shooting at 10fps, built-in GPS, and 1080p AVCHD movie. The fixed translucent (semi-transparent) mirror allows full-time Live View and full-time Phase-detection AF even when recording HD movies.

  • We believe in wisdom in “a multitude of counsellors.” And sometimes, it’s the one who annoys us the most (not saying that Ken is annoying) that we should pay the most attention to. Often, a review goes according to a reviewer’s preferences, the kind of pictures he or she likes to take, etc. so that one camera may not be acceptable to the reviewers thought it is acceptable to other reviewers. We should listen to the reviewer whose bias (or preferences) we find closest to our own.
