Guess the Picture!

I thought I would try something a bit different today. Art Filters seem to be all the rage lately, so here’s a picture that I applied some art filters to. First, I cropped the picture and applied a Watercolor effect in Photoshop. Next, I applied a Stained Glass effect to the Watercolor photo. The result is this:

Olympus E-300, lens 40-150mm F3.5-4.5 at 74mm (148mm equiv.), 1/320 sec., F5.6, ISO 100

Olympus E-300, lens 40-150mm F3.5-4.5 at 74mm (148mm equiv.), 1/320 sec., F5.6, ISO 100

Try to guess what the photo subject is. Hint: has to do with Art.

I shot this picture at Edwards Garden, Toronto on a hot Summer day. I like it because even if you cannot see the artist’s face and expression, you can see the canvas and the picture being drawn. The artist’s body language says he is busy mixing paint ready to apply the next stroke. By applying a watercolor effect to the photo, the latter itself became a painting. I printed it large format and it looks good!
