Aware-2 camera weighs 100 pounds, has 98 14MP micro cameras, takes gigapixels B&W images and prints to 8 x 16 feet

David Brady, professor of photonics at Duke University, reveals a 100 pounds (that’s about 45.4 kg) camera that is comprised of 99 lenses: one central lens to capture the whole scene, plus 98 micro cameras each 14MP in resolution. The micro cameras overlap their images to cover a field of view that, when stitched together, is 120 degrees wide and 50 degrees tall. The camera takes B&W images that, at 300dpi, can be printed 8 feet high by 16 feet long.
