To type in your signature, select the Horizontal Type Tool
on the Tools Palette.
Click on your drawing canvas and type your signature:
Photoshop automatically creates a new layer for the text type.
If you look at the top of your screen, you will notice that the Font face,
type and size are displayed. Click on the drop-down lists and select your desired
font. Usually we would choose a small font size so the signature does not intrude
too much into the picture, but for this tutorial I have selected Verdana at
24pt so we can see it clearly:
If you need to change the font, simply click on the Type Tool again, highlight
the text, and change the font:
I changed the Font face and size to Staccato222 BT 36pt.
Your Layers Palette should end up looking like this:
