Speaking of doomsday vault for seeds, shouldn’t we also have one for other stuff such as photography or electronics, etc.? You know, in case of a catastrophe of worldwide proportions, a place we can go to and rebuild starting from the iPad — no, we don’t want to go back to scratching symbols on a palm leaf. All the parts we need to rebuild a modern functioning society would be stored there. No? OK, what about one that stored all the timeless beauty of National Geographic? Any alien civilization that discovers this cache will be able to understand what a beautiful world we [once] had.
