The Changing Landscape of Pro Photography

With affordable DSLRs that can now capture images that previously required pro cameras to do so, professional photographers face a changing market in which amateur photographers are systematically encroaching into. The latter offer their images at a fraction of the cost without worrying about regulations.

A nationwide survey organised by the British Photographic Council highlights these challenges from amateur photographers, and also fingers out copyright infringers and overzealous police officers as additional worries for pro photographers.
