Nikon Coolpix S1100pj
Nikon has announced two new Coolpix cameras: the Coolpix S1100pj and Coolpix S5100. The Nikon Coolpix S1100pj upgrades the S1000pj with a 14-lumen internal projector that is 40 per cent brighter, adds an easy-to-use touch screen interface and a built-in stand. With the new computer connection feature, you can now connect a computer to the camera via USB and project whatever is on the computer screen through the camera’s projector. Images can be projected up to 47 inches from over seven feet away. A new Paint function allows you to write and draw on the 3-inch 460,000-dot touch LCD screen and have it projected in real time. The COOLPIX S1100pj is available in black in mid-September 2010 for CAD $349.95 (MSRP).
With the COOLPIX S5100, Nikon has decided to focus on speedy performance with a fast start-up time and a short shutter-release time using the new EXPEED C2 high performance digital image processing engine. The S5100 has 12.2MP resolution, a 2.7-in. LCD display, 5x Optical Zoom and a 4-way VR Image Stabilization System with ISO settings to 3200 at full resolution.
