Canon EOS 7D

Canon EOS 7D

The HD video capabilities of the [Canon] 7D are the best we’ve ever seen for a digital SLR.

Dan Havlik at PDNGearGuide has posted his review of the Canon EOS 7D [Specs], comparing it to the Nikon D3s and Canon EOS 5D Mark II. The Canon EOS 7D is a Digital SLR camera with 19MP resolution using an APS-C size (22.3 x 14.9 mm) CMOS sensor, Continuous Shooting 8fps, Full HD Video capture at 1920 x 1080 resolution with selectable frame rates of 24p, 25p or 30p, 19-point Autofocus system, ISO speed settings from 100-6400 (expandable to 12,800), iFCL metering, Intelligent Viewfinder using a large all-glass pentaprism providing 1.0x magnification with 100 percent coverage, Dual Axis Electronic Level, pop-up flash witha built-in Integrated Speedlite Transmitter for control of multiple off-camera EOS Speedlites without the need for an external transmitter, Intelligent Macro Tracking function, a new Quick Control Button, RAW/JPEG toggle button, 3.0-in LCD (920,000 dots), and optional WFT-E5A wireless file transmitter.
