The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-L1 looks great
in any of its four designer colours: Brushed Silver,
Dark Blue Matte, Black and a striking Dark Red
Piano Gloss. It's an ultra compact at 95W x 44.3H
x 25.7D mm (3 11/15W x 1 3/4H x 1D in.) and weighs
a mere 122g (4.0 oz).
In this dimunitive metallic body, the Sony L1
boasts 4.1 megapixels resolution, a 3x optical
zoom, an AF Illuminator to help achieve focus
in low-light situations, burst mode to capture
fast moving subjects, and MPEG VX movie mode with
audio (640 x 480 at 30fps).
The Sony L1 uses a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens,
and has 7 scene modes. It comes standard with
a rechargeable InfoLithium battery and recharger.
An optional accessory is an underwater casing
that looks like a futuristic bioplastic pod --
very cool and fashionable.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-L1 should appeal
to point-and-shoot photographers looking for an
easy-to-use "designer" ultra compact
take anywhere digital camera.
