The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T33 is 21mm thin
and features a 3x optical zoom that operates entirely
inside the camera body. It replaces the immensely
popular Sony T1.
Sporting 5.1 megapixels resolution and a F3.5
38-114mm (35mm equivalent) Carl-Zeiss Vario-Tessar
lens, the Sony T33 captures great images in a
point-and-shoot easy to use stainless metal and
plastic body. Those tired of peering into small
LCD screens will appreciate the large 2.5 in.
LCD monitor with Auto Bright Monitoring. Where
the Sony T1 LCD had 211K resolution, the LCD on
the Sony T33 is slightly higher at 230K resolution
and its "hybrid" design allows better
bright outdoor viewing. Indoor low-light shooting
will tend to be challenging due to the slow lens.
Exposure control is Auto, Programmed Auto and
Scene Modes.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T33 should appeal
to point-and-shoot photographers looking for an
ultra compact high resolution take anywhere digital
camera with an extra large LCD monitor.
