The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S60 features the
high-end Carl Zeiss optics, 3x optical zoom and
4.1 effective megapixel resolution.
The Sony S60 is similar to the Sony S90, accepting
optional filters, wide-angle and telephoto conversion
lenses (adapter required), and 32MB internal flash
memory. Manual exposure mode provides extended
control with 46-step adjustable Shutter speed
(30 – 1/1000 sec.), and 2-step Aperture control.
Auto Focus is achieved with a 5 Area Multi-Point
AF, Center AF, or limited (5-Step only) Manual
focus. An AF Illuminator helps achieve focus in
low-light situations.
The Sony S60 differs from the Sony S90 by having
a large 2.0 in. 115K LCD monitor (the Sony S90
has an extra large 2.5 in. LCD monitor) and does
not come with a rechargeable battery and charger.
The S60 is PictBridge compatible, allowing direct
printing from the camera to any PictBridge compatible
printer.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S60 should appeal
to photographers looking for a compact point-and-shoot
digital camera.
