Sony α (alpha) DSLR-A100
digital SLR
|
|
Based on Konica Minolta's Alpha/Maxxum/Dynax
digital SLR technology that Sony acquired from
the former, the new Sony α (alpha) DSLR-A100
digital SLR inherits the legacy of the Konica
Minolta A-mount system
The Sony α (alpha) DSLR-A100 features
10.2-megapixel resolution on an APS-sized CCD
image sensor. Its main differentiator from its
competitors is Konica Minolta's unique Anti-Shake
system, now renamed the Super SteadyShot.
Instead of shifting a lens (thus requiring you
to purchase expensive Image Stabilized lenses),
the Super SteadyShot technology shifts the CCD
to compensate for camera movement, so all lenses
benefit from anti-shake performance.
The large 2.5-in. LCD monitor is high resolution
at 230,000 pixels and the Clear Photo LCD Plus
design makes it possible to view it comfortably
even in bright sunlight. An Eye-Start®
Autofocus System begins its precision autofocus
adjustments the moment you bring your eye to the
viewfinder.
