Samyang Announces 50mm F1.4 Lens for Sony Full Frame E-Mount Mirrorless Cameras

This is Week 2 of Samyang‘s 5-week 2016 Summer Blockbusters, where they announce a new lens each Monday. Last Monday, they announced the XEEN 135mm T2.2 Professional 4K+ Video-Cinema Lens. And this Monday, it is the turn for the AF 50/1.4 FE (Samyang AF 50mm F1.4 FE), a lens specifically designed for the Sony Full Frame E-Mount mirrorless cameras.

The bright F1.4 aperture allows the use of a faster shutter speed in dim light and, with the 9 circular blades, is ideal for obtaining smooth bokeh when wide open.

The lens features 9 glasses in 8 groups, with three aspherical lenses and Ultra Multi Coating to minimize aberration and unnecessary light dispersion, delivering high resolution from the centre to the corners of the image.

The lens accepts 67mm diameter filters. Minimum focusing distance is 45cm (18 in.).
