Panasonic Fall 2006 Lumix Digital Cameras

Panasonic's fall Lumix line-up of digital cameras will be arriving on shelves over the next few weeks!

DMC-FX Lumix Digital Still Camera Series
Panasonic’s compact series of Lumix cameras has three new exciting additions this Fall. The 7-megapixel models DMC-FX50 and DMC-FX07 feature superior lens quality in a compact camera, featuring a 28mm wide angle Leica DC lens, capable of 3.6x optical zoom. Both these models feature full resolution ISO 1250 in addition to the industry’s first Intelligent ISO Control, designed to correct image blur caused by subject movement. An improved 3” LCD has been added to the FX50 allowing users for the first time to view two captured images simultaneously on the large high resolution screen. The FX50, FX07 and the 6-megapixel DMC-FX3 all feature Mega Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S.), which corrects for hand movements – common when shooting with a small camera. Slim and stylish, the FX digital camera series features powerful, automatic features that can make even the most amateur photographer feel like a pro. Manufacturer's suggested price for the DMC-FX50 is CDN $549.99, DMC-FX07 is CDN $479.99 and DMC-FX3 is CDN $349.99.

DMC-LX2 Lumix Digital Still Camera
Panasonic’s DMC-LX2 broadens the idea of picture taking, with a host of new features designed to meet the needs of a photography enthusiast. The 10-megapixel LX2 has full manual operability, and features 28mm wide angle shooting combined with a unique 16:9 aspect ratio CCD, perfect for playback on a widescreen plasma television. Full resolution ISO 1600 is now possible thanks to the new Venus Engine III processor, as well as Panasonic’s new Intelligent ISO control system, which compensates for blurriness caused by subject movement. Standard in all Lumix digital cameras, Mega Optical Image Stabilization (O.I.S.) corrects for hand movements leaving the user to take wide, beautiful images with a camera small enough to take anywhere. Manufacturer’s suggested price is CDN $599.99.

DMC-FZ50 Lumix Digital Still Camera
Created for the budding photography enthusiast, the 10-megapixel Panasonic DMC-FZ50 features the industry’s first Intelligent ISO Control technology, which compensates for subject movement to decrease blurriness in photos. With a 12x optical zoom Leica DC lens, 1600 ISO capability and MEGA Optical Image Stabilization (O.I.S), the DMC-FZ50 is able to take crisp, clear images in just about any situation. The 2-inch LCD flips out to 180 degrees, making picture taking from high or low angles a breeze, and the extended battery life allows users to take approximately 360 images on one charge. Manufacturer’s suggested price is CDN $799.99.

A spring arrival, the six megapixel, 12x optical zoom DMC-FZ7 continues Panasonic's tradition as an industry leader in high zoom cameras. Featuring a Leica lens system and Panasonic's Optical Image Stabilizer (Mega O.I.S.), the FZ7 has a release time lag of 0.008 seconds minimum. An unlimited consecutive shooting function allows users to take unlimited photos in succession until the memory card is full - great for graduations and weddings! Other product highlights include a 2.5" LCD Monitor, Colour Electronic Viewfinder, and optional Manual Aperture & Focus Control, leaving the power in the user’s capable hands. The DMC-FZ7 is available in black or silver with a manufacturer's suggested price of CDN $599.99.

DMC-TZ1 Lumix Digital Still Camera
Released this spring, the Panasonic DMC-TZ1 is the world’s smallest 10x optical zoom camera. Featuring a powerful Leica DC lens, the DMC-TZ1 is incorporated into a compact, easy-to-carry body that fits in your pocket. Capturing crisp, clear images even at a distance is made possible with Panasonic’s MEGA Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S), designed to reduce blurry photos caused by an unsteady hand. Also featuring full resolution ISO 800, Panasonic’s DMC-TZ1 can also compensate for blur caused by subject movement – all in a body small enough to fit in your pocket. Manufacturer's suggested price is CDN $429.99.
