The
Pentax Optio 550 is a 5 megapixels resolution
digital camera with a handsome aluminum alloy
body. Pentax is making quite a splash with its
new digital cameras, and the Optio 550 with 5x
optical zoom, a 1.5 in. LCD that covers 100% view
of the frame, an optical viewfinder with diopter
adjustment for those who wear glasses, and the
whole range of exposure control -- Programmed
AE, Manual, Shutter-Priority, Aperture-Priority
and Picture Modes ('Scene Modes') -- certainly
put the major digital camera manufacturers on
notice that 'Pentax is back.'
If the major digital camera manufacturers think
that they can just introduce incremental improvements
every now and then to satisfy an increasingly
demanding market, they should quickly reconsider.
Pentax's new digital cameras are leap-frogging
them. This is as it should be, and we welcome
Pentax back.
If
you're in the market for a smart-looking digital
camera with top-notch features, be sure to consider
the Pentax Optio 550. We like the Pentax Optio
550 because it provides 5 megapixels resolution
with a 5x optical zoom, and all the control you
need to learn and grow in digital photography.
The Pentax Optio 550 is ideal for beginners who
want a digital camera that will grow with them,
or for the serious amateur photographer looking
for an uncompromising camera with the renown Pentax
label.
