If you think the Panasonic Lumix
DMC-FZ20 and FZ15 are too big for you, then try
the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ3, which has
similar features as the FZ15, but in a much smaller
body.
Major differences are that the
FZ3 has 3.1-megapixel resolution on a slightly
smaller 1/3.2 in. image sensor and a smaller 1.5
in. LCD monitor with less resolution. Otherwise,
you pretty much get the same fabulous 12x optical
zoom that is image stabilized, a Leica lens (minus
the "ED" lens) with a maximum aperture
of F2.8 throughout the zoom range, and macro as
close as 5 cm (2 in.).
Like the FZ15, it has full flexible
exposure control, scene modes, shutter speed range
from 8 sec to 1/2,000 sec., Program Shift and
an AF Assist Lamp to aid focusing in low-light
situations.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ3 offers
a great package and should appeal to those desiring
a long image stabilized zoom in a compact body.
And, it's compact and light enough to take anywhere,
especially to outdoors sports events.
