Image stabilization is important
when using long zoom and slow shutter speeds to
help reduce camera shake, and hence reduce the
chances of obtaining blurry images.
Though the Panasonic LZ2 is a point-and-shoot
digital camera, it incorporates some features
that more advanced amateur photographers will
appreciate: a real-time histogram for determining
optimum exposure, and composition guide lines
to help keep your horizontal level. It also allows
unlimited consecutive shooting up to the capacity
of the SD Memory Card.
The Panasonic LZ2 is PictBridge-compatible and
lets you print directly on a PictBridge-compatible
digital printer without going through a computer.
The Panasonic LZ1 has 4MP resolution and retails
at about US $50 less than the LZ2. Both feature
14MB of internal flash memory. Note that the LZ1
comes in silver body only.
