Olympus Stylus Verve S

Mouseover image for back view

Category: Point-and-Shoot

I'm not sure who is behind the design of the Olympus Stylus Verve S, but this camera belongs in a museum. Similar to the Stylus Verve, the Olympus Verve S has all-weather protection.

The Olympus Verve S has 5 megapixels resolution, 2x optical zoom and 16 shooting modes including QuickTime® with audio, Candle, Behind Glass, Portrait, Night Scene and more. The Olympus Verve S does not have a viewfinder but has a 1.8 in. high-resolution (at 134,000 pixels) LCD monitor. A long shutter speed of 4 sec. is available in Night Scene mode to allow some night photography; a Super Macro mode allows you to move in as close as 8 cm (3.1 in.).

The Olympus Verve S is PictBridge-compatible, allowing direct printing from the camera to a PictBridge-compatible printer without going through a PC.

The Olympus Stylus Verve S should appeal to those desiring a fun to use, ultra compact point-and-shoot digital camera.
