10MP resolution (on a 1/2.3-in. CCD), 3.6x wide-angle optical zoom (28-102 mm equiv.) and a large
and bright 2.7-in. LCD monitor (230K dots). The "TOUGH"
indicates this ultra compact digital camera is Shockproof, Waterproof and Freezeproof.
The Olympus TOUGH 6000 has a rugged metal body with shock-absorbing technology that protects it from drops of up to 1.5m/5 ft. Waterproof seals and gaskets keep water out so you can take the camera underwater as deep as 3m/10 ft. Fear Winter no more because the TOUGH 6000 can operate at -10°C/14°F below-freezing temperatures. To clean it, just rinse in running tap water.
There are also 25 shooting modes to help you capture the shot, including 4 underwater scene modes. The wide-angle lens is perfect for wide landscapes. Want more? In-Camera Panorama allows you to press the shutter button and slowly pan across a scene to automatically take 3 shots and stitch it into a panoramic picture.
The Olympus Stylus TOUGH 6000 should

For about US $100 more, you can get the TOUGH 8000 which is waterproof to 10m (33ft), shockproof from a fall of 2m (6.6ft), freezeproof to temperatures of -10°C/14°F and, additionally, crushproof withstanding up to 100kg/220 pounds of pressure.
