Olympus Stylus 810 Digital

Olympus Stylus 810 Digital

Category: Point-and-Shoot

The Olympus Stylus 810 Digital (Mju 810 Digital in UK) features 8MP resolution on a 1/1.8 in. CCD image sensor, 3x optical zoom, an extra large and bright 2.5-in. LCD monitor with a high 230,000 pixels and Bright Capture Technology which allows for enhanced previewing and image quality in low light.

One of the main attraction of the Olympus Stylus 810 is its All-Weather capability: Strategically placed seals and gaskets protect the camera from moisture and dust. Note that it is not waterproof [for that, you need the Stylus 720 SW].

The Olympus Stylus 810 provides 24 useful shooting modes, including 20 easy-to-use Scene Modes and QuickTime (640 x 480) movie with sound. A built-in Help GUIDE provides tips to help you decide which setting is ideal for each situation.

Digital Image Stabilization favours a high ISO so the camera can select as fast a shutter speed as possible to minimize blurring caused by camera shake and subject movement.

PictBridge technology enables photos to be printed directly from the Olympus Stylus 810 to any PictBridge-enabled printer.

The Olympus Stylus 810 Digital should appeal to point-and-shoot photographers desiring an ultra-compact, all-weather digital camera with the famous ease-of-use of the Stylus line of cameras.

For added exposure flexibility, including Shutter-Priority and Aperture-Priority modes, check out the Olympus Stylus 800 Digital for US $50 more.

Check out the 7MP Olympus Stylus 710 Digital for US $70 less.
