If you don't need your digital camera to be as
tough as the Stylus
770 SW, but would still like protection from
inclement weather, then the Olympus Stylus
760 All-Weather fits the bill. Like all Stylus
digital cameras, it is protected by All-Weather
seals and gaskets that renders it splash-proof,
dust-proof and snow proof.
It features 7.1MP resolution and a large 2.5-in.
LCD screen with 140-degree viewing angle (left
to right, or up and down) and a Backlight Boost
Button that increases the brightness of the LCD
for excellent visibility, even in direct sunlight.
Like the Stylus 750 it replaces, the Stylus 760
also features CCD-Shift
Image Stabilization that effectively counteracts
camera shake when using a long focal length and/or
slow shutter speed. In addition, Digital
Image Stabilization (DIS) favours a high ISO
(up to ISO 1600; ISO 3200 and 5000 at 3MP resolution)
and fast shutter speed to eliminate or reduce
blurred shots caused by subject movement.
26 useful shooting modes, including QuickTime
(640 x 480) 15fps with sound and 22 scene modes
simplify shooting. Bright Capture Technology helps
you frame shots on the LCD in dimly lit conditions.
The Built-in Help Guide conveniently displays
brief descriptions of camera settings and features
at the push of a button. PictBridge technology
enables photos to be printed directly from the
camera to any PictBridge-enabled printer.
The Olympus Stylus 760 should appeal
to those desiring an ultra compact with true image
stabilization, all-weather protection and the
Stylus famed ease of use.
