The Olympus Stylus 720 SW Digital (Mju
720 SW Digital in UK) just gets better with
each new iteration of the Stylus model. It has
7.1MP resolution, 3x optical zoom, an extra large
and bright 2.5-in. LCD monitor. The "SW"
stands for Shock proof and Waterproof.
Whereas its sister models are weather and dust-proof
only, the Olympus 720 SW is also waterproof (JIS
Level 8): interior and exterior seals and gaskets
defend against water damage to depths of 10 feet
(for up to 1 hour) underwater. For shooting at
depths beyond 10 feet underwater, there is an
optional PT-033 Underwater Housing.
The Olympus 720 SW is also shock proof (MIL-STD-810F
compliant): a shock-absorbing interior and exterior
design helps protect the camera from drops up
to 5 feet -- making it one tough camera that you
can really take anywhere without too much worry
about getting it damaged.
The Olympus Stylus 720 SW provides 28 useful
shooting modes, including QuickTime (640
x 480) 15fps with sound. A built-in Help
GUIDE provides tips to help you decide which setting
is ideal for each situation.
LCD Bright Capture Technology allows for enhanced
previewing and image quality in low light. PictBridge
technology enables photos to be printed directly
from the camera to any PictBridge-enabled printer.
