The Olympus SP-510 Ultra Zoom features
7.1MP resolution, 10x optical zoom and a large
2.5 in. LCD monitor.
The Olympus SP-510 has full exposure flexibility
with Program, Aperture-Priority, Shutter-Priority
and full Manual modes, plus 21 Scene Modes to
automate the most common picture-taking situations.
You can display a histogram or grid lines. Movies
are recorded with sound at 640x480 @ 30fps.
Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) favours a high
ISO (up to ISO 1600; ISO 2500 and 4000 at 3MP
resolution) and fast shutter speed to reduce or
eliminate blurred shots caused by camera shake
and subject movement.
Bright Capture Technology helps you frame shots
on the LCD in dimly lit conditions. Coupled with
Available Light Portrait, Indoors, Candle, and
Image Blur scene modes, this enables you to view
and capture low-light shots.
Perfect Fix editing allows you to brighten up
dark images, reduce red-eye and eliminate blurriness
(using Digital Image Stabilization Edit) after
the shot is taken right in the camera.
It comes with 21MB of internal memory and runs
on 4 AA batteries which can take approx. 630 shots
(CIPA Standard). Shutter speed range is from 1/1000
sec. 15 sec., and there is a Bulb shutter
speed. There is an electronic viewfinder (EVF).
Optional accessories include the WCON-07 Wide
Conversion Lens (0.7x) and the TCON-17 (1.7x)
Telephoto Conversion Lens (1.7x); Lens Adapter
Tube CLA-1 and 43-55mm Step-Up Ring required for
both lenses.
The Olympus SP-510 UZ should appeal to
serious amateur photographers who desire an ultra
zoom with a high degree of control.
