The Olympus SP-320 features 7.1MP resolution,
3x optical zoom and an extra large 2.5 in. LCD
monitor (115,000 pixels).
It has full exposure flexibility with Program,
Aperture-Priority, Shutter-Priority and Manual
modes, plus easy-to-use Scene Modes to automate
the most common picture-taking situations. You
can display a histogram or grid lines. Movies
are recorded with sound at 640x480 at 30fps.
It comes with 25MB of internal memory, fast USB
2.0 High-Speed, and runs on 2 AA batteries. A
nod to serious amateur photographers: you can
save images in the RAW file format, and there
is a Bulb shutter speed. For those who prefer
it, there is an optical viewfinder.
Optional accessories include Wide (0.7x) WCON-07F
and Tele (1.7x) TCON-17F Conversion Lenses (Lens
Adapter Tube CLA-9 required).
The Olympus SP-320 should appeal to advanced
amateur photographers who desire high quality
images together with a high degree of control
-- all in a relatively compact body and an affordable
price.
If you prefer a slightly higher resolution camera
at 8MP and the availability of a hot shoe for
attaching an external flash, see the Olympus
SP-350.
