The extra large 2.5-in. Live View color LCD monitor
on the Olympus E-330 is in addition to the optical
through-the-lens viewfinder. It features HyperCrystal™
technology which makes it easier to view the image
on the LCD in sunlight and also provides a wide
160° viewing angle. The LCD's swivel capability
lets you shoot over a crowd and get low for dramatic
angles.
Like other Olympus digital SLRs, the E-330 boasts
a unique Dust-Reduction System. Dust has been
an annoying and frustrating issue for digital
SLR users requiring frequent cleaning, but Olympus
has incorporated a Supersonic Wave Filter™
–- a “digital duster” –- that
uses a high-speed vibration to shake and remove
dust and other micro particles that might settle
on the image sensor. This vibration automatically
takes place each time the camera is powered up,
and can also be manually initiated through the
camera’s menu.
Besides full exposure flexibility, Scene Modes
automate many picture-taking situations and ease
the transition to dSLR for users coming over from
the point-and-shoot digicams. Dual memory card
slots conveniently accept xD-Picture Cards and
CompactFlash cards, including microdrives.
