The
Nikon Coolpix 4100 is an entry-level point-and-shoot
digital camera based on the features and design
of the Coolpix 3200. Like the 3200, it is designed
to make your entry into digital photography as
fool-proof as possible. It features 4.0 megapixels
resolution, a 3x optical zoom, and 15 Scene Modes
to cover most picture-taking situations.
Though Auto mode is ideal for most situations,
there are special situations that require some
exposure (and other setting) adjustments for the
best images. With Scene Modes, all you have to
do is frame the scene and let the camera automatically
handle all the adjustments for you. Scene modes
include: Party, Beach/Snow, Sunset, Fireworks
Show, Landscape, Portrait, Sports, Close up, Museum,
Dusk/Dawn, Panorama assist, etc.
If
you are into macro photography, you can move in
as close as 4 cm (1.6 in.) for extreme close-up
details. Record short clips with sound in QuickTime(TM)
Movie format until your SD memory card is full
-- and then watch them on TV.
Use
Best Shot Selector in difficult situations where
camera shake may cause blurred images; the camera
takes a number of shots and automatically selects
the sharpest one. And if it is still blurry, Blur
Detection warns you so you can take it again.
A low-light AF-assist Illuminator helps obtain
focus lock in low-light situations.
We
like the Nikon Coolpix 4100 for its easy-to-use
features, Nikkor quality lens, compact dimensions
and light weight.
