Nikon Coolpix P60

Nikon Coolpix P60
Mouseover image for back view

Category: Point-and-Shoot

The Nikon Coolpix P60 has 8.1MP resolution, a 5x optical Zoom-Nikkor lens and a large 2.5 in. (153K dots) LCD monitor. It now includes Sensor-shift Image Stabilization as well as an electronic version of Vibration Reduction to help reduce blur due to camera shake.

The Nikon P60 provides Programmed Auto, Scene Modes, a limited Manual mode, and 15 Scene Modes. It has an electronic viewfinder (EVF).

D-Lighting function compensates for underexposed images or insufficient flash by automatically adding light and detail to selected shots where needed -- without affecting properly exposed areas. In-Camera Red-Eye Fix automatically fixes most typical occurrences of red-eye. Face-Priority AF automatically finds and focuses on people’s faces to ensure clear, crisp focus on people's faces. AF Area Mode allows you to manually select the AF target out of 99 AF targets.

The Nikon P60 uses two AA-sized batteries.

The Nikon Coolpix P60 should appeal to entry-level point-and-shoot photographers who desire an easy-to-use digital camera with image stabilization.
