The Nikon Coolpix L1 is a beginner's Point-and-Shoot
with 6.2MP resolution, a 5x optical Zoom-Nikkor
lens and an extra large 2.5 in. LCD monitor.
It features a shutter speed range of 4-1/2,000
sec., and has 15 Scene Modes to simplify shooting
in a range of common situations.
Nikon's innovative D-Lighting function compensates
for exposure problems by adding light and detail
to dark areas of shots, while keeping brighter
areas just as they are. Nikon's In-Camera Red-Eye
Fix automatically does away with red eyes in-camera.
And Nikon exclusive BSS (Best Shot Selector) selects
and saves the best of a series of several shots.
The Nikon L1 incorporates the Nikon Face Priority
AF* function that uses advanced biometric facial
recognition technology to detect a person's face
at typical portrait taking distances, then automatically
focuses on the face area.
* Face recognition capability may be limited
depending on the shooting conditions.
The Nikon Coolpix L1 should appeal to
point-and-shoot photographers desiring an easy-to-use
medium zoom digital camera.
