The Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z3
features a whopping 12x optical zoom, the unique
Anti-Shake System introduced in the DiMAGE A1
and A2, and now an all-black professional looking
body.
The DiMAGE Z3 retains the distinctive
futuristic look, though it is now more rounded
instead of angular. It has fast operations, and
provides flexible exposure control. Those who
wear glasses will welcome the diopter control
on the viewfinder, which covers about 100% of
the frame. The 1.5 in. LCD has automatic monitor
amplification and covers approx. 100% of the frame.
The Anti-Shake System is an image stabilization
system that works on the CCD image sensor instead
of a lens element; its main function is to reduce
camera shake at long focal lengths and slow shutter
speeds.
The DiMAGE Z3 now has a Super Macro
mode that allows focusing as close as 1 cm (0.4
in.).
The Z3 is full-featured and, like
the Z2 and Z1 before it, will appeal to soccer
moms and wildlife photographers, both beginner
and serious amateur photographers, who desire
an ultra zoom digital camera with easy point-and-shoot
as well as flexible exposure control -- now with
