The Konica Minolta DiMAGE A2 boasts a
set of features currently not found in any other
prosumer digital camera. From its smooth mechanically
linked 7x optical wide-angle zoom to its unique
Anti-Shake Technology, the A2 sets a new standard
for others to follow. Toss in the highest resolution
EVF available (at close to 1MP), an elegant auto-switch
between EVF and LCD monitor, live histogram, grid
overlay, user-friendly controls, flex focus point,
manual focus ring, program shift, monitor amplification
in low-light, and internal recording buffer for
RAW images capture, and you end up with a digital
camera with a no-nonsense approach to ensuring
that you get the job done intuitively and fast.
With its design closely based on a SLR, its comfortable
handling will please film SLR owners who desire
a digital camera that works like their SLRs but
in a more compact and lighter digital body. Well
grouped and implemented controls mean there is
absolutely no need to navigate the menu during
a shooting session.
Image quality is excellent with minimal CA and
slightly visible noise at ISO 64.
